Technology Development

At Grain Storage Technology, we prioritize continuous investment in Research and Development (R&D) to drive innovation and excellence in our products and services. We maintain strong affiliations with leading universities, research companies, industry associations, and Agritech specialists to validate our ideas and leverage their expertise. These partnerships serve as valuable sounding boards for new innovations, providing us with technical advice, updates on emerging technologies, and insights into evolving agricultural practices and systems.

Since 2016, Grain Storage Technology has been in collaboration with HE Silos Forbes and Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW on the research and validation of the Thermal Insect Control System TICS which uses thermal air currents to disperse and circulate the fumigation currents to effectively eradicate pets at all life stages of the cycles. Charles Sturt University have just completed a 12-month intensive study (which has now been extended for three years) on our TICS™ product, which has found that not only does it meet the GRDC Phosphine recommendations, but far exceeds them!

And most recently Grain Storage Technology and HE Silos have been in collaboration with University of Wollongong under the innovation connections grant where we designed and supplied a custom-built micro-silo to the SMART Infrastructure Facility as part of a collaborative project to develop systems for off-grid monitoring and autonomous venting of silos. The system promises to reduce grain spoilage by closely managing grain humidity, contributing to food security and climate resilience one silo at a time.

By collaborating with esteemed institutions and experts in the field, we ensure that our solutions meet consumer expectations and exceed market requirements. Our commitment to R&D empowers us to stay at the forefront of the industry, delivering cutting-edge products and services that address the evolving needs of grain producers worldwide.
