A year in review for HE Silos

Reflecting on 2017, HE Silos has accomplished many great achievements. This past year the Silologist and the team have been travelled far and wide to promote our business, attend industry events and discover new technologies and ideas!

Larry our Operations Manager and myself attended Australian Business Week in New Delhi, India at the end of October 2017, Larry delivered a ½ hour presentation on Innovation in Grain logistics, handling and Storage to over 100 Indian company representatives including, Trade ministers, Agritech specialists and Grain storage companies, realising some serious trade opportunities for us. Larry also appeared on a 30 second Interview for the National Indian prime time News.

Karen our Sales Manager attended Women in Agribusiness on the 10 March 2017, which aims to help women celebrate International Women’s Day, taking them away from the daily grind and bringing them together where they can network, learn and share stories, focused on helping women shift the focus to them, their needs and their goals, hosted at the beautiful surrounds of Eat Your Greens at Eugowra and sponsored by MBC Accountants.

Larry also attended New Caledonia Agribusiness Mission between the 20 to 24 November 2017, presenting our company to the New Caledonian Agri sectors. This was one of the most successful agribusiness missions he has attended, due to the low numbers of delegates (only 8 Australian businesses invited). Its targeted audience and the willingness of the New Caledonian farmers wanting to im

prove their business using Australian agricultural technology and processes as their closet neighbour with well-established farming systems and similar climate rather than the European way as has been in the past! We look forward to 2018 and what this opportunity might bring. More information on this adventure can be found in our previous blogs.

The team at HE Silos attended both Henty and Orange Field days, being the must attend annual events, the interaction with our customers, is rewarding especially meeting them in person. The feedback we receive around our products and how we conduct business is invaluable to us, and motivates us to innovate, redesign and change our business practices to ensure we remain focused on providing our customers a great product with great service!
